There had been 8 members of the salvage crew. Where were they? Their ship had been empty of human life, docked to the equally uninhabited abandoned freighter they were supposed to be salvaging. The only moving things I had encountered so far were gleaming metallic alien robots. And while they were a definite nuisance, I simply could not see them taking out 8 well trained salvage experts. And even if the robots HAD killed them where were the bodies? The freighter's comm was not being of much help either. The last entry on it was a standard subspace flight plan.
