Description

I'm not sure if this requires a "violence" tag or not, seeing as many disturbing photos of bugs being gross don't seem to need one. It certainly looks like the insect is drinking from the slug but I'm not exactly sure what's going on, or whether or not the slug was dead when it got there. Just thought it was an interesting scene. Thanks for your sweet comments on "tiny frog in grass".

yeah it's gross, but it's real and it belongs in your gallery since you capture so many natural occurrences. The angle lets us see how sleek some of these insect are, he's kinda streamlined. I prefer my food a little less slimy, but hey that's just me. A good slug is still a good slug...A fun & gruesome shot & good for halloween!

WOW. I have no idea what this insect is, but I'd love to see other images! I suspect it's a scavenger of sorts, though you never know...it could have hunted and killed this slug. Funny thing is, I don't see this as a gross image at all, but then I spent my childhood immersed in a weird, liminal world, and strangely enough death was a big part of it...not in a morbid way, or a violent way, just as a simple fact of life. This image, like many things I've seen and failed to capture, perfectly exemplifies that! I love the clarity and the unflinching reality of this!
