Hi... Most of you know me by "shahlaa" in the gallery where I do Bryce and attempt to do Poser.... I've now started a new gallery, which I had intended to do mostly writing at but find I've actually done more art than writing. I enjoy working in Bryce and I'm toying in other things but I'd really love to learn Poser. I'm the Mother of 8 wonderful kids and my 24th grandchild is due in July. My first 2 great grandchildren are due in August and September. I'm a lover of nature, music, animals and children. I'm a born again Christian.Â

This is a beautifully composed article of poetry, inspired by an intense love and the keening pain of your loss. Thank you for sharing this touching and elegant verse with us, for giving us a glimpse of her beauty in your life. Know that her beauty carries on, reflected in the world through you ...

sometimes it's better if you're not there when they go - you remember so much of that time period more than all the others. I had my right ear on my Mom's chest and heard her last two heartbeats.

A beautiful tribute for your Mom.

That pain never goes away altogether but is becoming as the years pass on something softer. And instead of feeling pain and longing can remember and smile. A touching and beautiful tribute for your mom. Thanks for sharing :)

A fine tribute narrative to your Mother, Marlene. I can definitely relate to how you feel. My mom passed in December of 2002, the day after Christmas and my brother 2 years later.

Wonderful poem and tribute to your Mother, Marcy. I wasn't at my fathers side when he passed, but I was the last one in the family to see him the night before. I got to say goodbye at least. Doctors predicted that next day would be his last, since he refused mechanical help. Anyway, hope all's is well in Ohio. Hugs from Dave :^)
