Description

After months and months of prodding I am finally giving in to my Muse's request to show you all what he looks like (and he's getting tired of the oat muffin and coffee jokes). So, without further adieu, may I present to you.... Moondust Dancer~~ Whenever in doubt, look to the moon and stars, there is where new ideas are born. Seek me out when in need, and allow me to inspire, in twilight, shadows, moonlight, where new dream from moondust form. ~~~~ This image was inspired by an ad in an old horse magazine that was no larger than 1 x 1 square (if that) and is, at present, 28 years young. And, yes, I know the left fore perspective is off a bit :-) Moondust doesn't mind it, so neither do I!

Good to see old Moondust out and about. Mind if I borrow your muse for a bit? I could use the help with my renders Ducks KIDDING! Seriously, great drawing, very magical!

So was this image recently drawn or was this 28 years ago??? I got lost on that sentence. Horses are not the easiest this to draw. I've been asked in the past where I had no way to look up references... I don't remember who asked, but I remember telling them - I don't know how the bones go - their response was, you're an artist, you can draw it - lol I told them, it's not that easy... I can draw a horse if I'm looking at one, but I would never try to draw one from memory... I just haven't spent that much time around the animals... funny thing is, I wouldn't want to draw a dog from memory either because of the bone structure - especially the legs - funny thing is, I've had a lot of dogs throught the years, I could do it but prefer not too... I have drawn both. I painted a dog years ago from a picture. The lady that wanted it done just lost her dog of 13 years, so when I gave it to her, it brought her to tears and she just could not stop looking at it... You know you do some good art when you get a customer that just can't stop looking at it and crying over it - lol

Excellent drawing Stacey. I remember Moondust Dance, he stopped by my house when you loaned him to me. Your drawing is a wonderful likeness of him. And thank you for his talents. Johnny
