One of great divisions of the animal kingdom, including/understanding the animals with soft bodies, generally provided with a shell, and at which the ganglia or nerve centres do not present definite general arrangement. They are generally known under the denomination of moulds and shells; the cuttlefish, the snails and the snails common, the shells, the oysters, the moulds and the combs are examples.
