Description
Well here I am, posting my 1st shot on this website. I have always been inspired by my father (punaguy)'s photography, and he says I seem to have the "eye" as well. I am working with a little point and shoot until I invest in better, but I do seem to catch cool things from time to time.
This shot was taken in my hometown Hilo, Hawaii after a great day swimming at my favorite beach. I noticed how Mauna Kea was so clearly visible, (as it is usually is mostly covered with clouds) and pulled over to get this shot. Hope u enjoy!

Well look at you!! A chip off the old lava stone...Surely one of the better shots of Mauna Kea, and look, no obscuring clouds. Very nice composition and a lovely time of day for this shot. Your off to a great start to your gallery, a father couldn't be prouder! Love you, Dad~ Aloha~

Aloha Sharky~ I beleive it was Leleiwi Beach, the last one before u hit Richardson's. I pulled right up to it, and walked maybe 20 footsteps to get this shot. Mahalo for the welcome, and look forward to the bright future here! Aloha~ Jon

Great capture :) beautiful colours and the palm trees just set it off to a t! Your dad is a great photographer so you can always trust his guidance... the only advice i can give is to suggest your dad now buys you a better camera! :) I look forward to seeing some more posts...
