mushrooms are really from another world. This series shows that: You've captured enough variety that one could think you traveled to several continents for all these. This is a big lavish flower-of-a-mushroom, spreading out like it had petals, and filled with earthen tones. I love the ground you got around it too, nice thick cracks; and the two leaves give us the perspective: This fungus is pretty small, even though it's really large! Also you got these 'seeds' inside the fungus—if that's what they are—they're fascinating, and there are so many! The orange leaf reminds us this is Autumn...Beautiful, and still another of your glimpses into the strangeness and beauty of what's around us everyday if we just bother to look... (Btw, you know the dumb joke? Someone asks a mushroom, "are you serious???" And the mushroom says, "nope, I'm a fun guy!") (fungi???) (ok, not funny...)

I often admire these mushroomswith their beautiful striped pattern Just to look, not to eat. This one almost looks as a rose of some strange kind. Thanks for going in the forest for me. Here the rain is pouring and I head some thunder long away.
