Description

This image is dedicated to my neighbor Mr.Hasty. Sadly he lost his wife of 53 years on the 8th. They were very kind to me, always letting me come into their yard to take pictures and watching out for me as they knew I had never been exposed to the kind of neighborhood I am in or to dealing with severe mental patients. Tho he is near 80 years old, when one of the patients attacked me Mr. H was right there and in no uncertain terms told the man that if he touched me again he would beat him with his cane:-) And now another kindness in the face of his sorrow...He has moved out of the home they lived in for more than 45 years and the house is for sale. This past Sunday he came to tell me that I could have all the flowers from his yard. These plants are huge, were I to buy them at this size they would cost me at least $30 per plant and that is a rough estimate. Yesterday the maintenance man knowing I am sick again, dug and transplanted over 12 plants and he has more to dig today. My sincere thanks to him for his help and support! So I wanted to honor and remember Mrs.Hasty by sharing her flowers with you! She was a kind and gentle soul that had a rough life battling cancer for the majority of their life together, She wasn't out and about much of the past two years but she always had a ready smile and wave for me, I will miss her...The thing I will remember the most about this couple was the visual look at their love for each other, it shone like no other I have seen before...and he is totally lost without her. Thanks for looking and for previous comments and favs! I am still trying to catch up on comments, thanks for your patience!

Wonderful shot and dedication, Lynn. Beautiful flowers. And poor Mr.Hasty.. Loosing a longtime spouse, often kills the other shortly. Seen it happen many times with old couples. When one dies... the other dies of grief within 3-12 months.+5

Beautiful flowers! So sorry to hear of Mr. Hasty's loss, I know it must be hard. But how nice that Mrs. Hasty will live on through her flowers in your yard - I know you will enjoy them and remember her always.
