Description

Jan and Dean~~Surf City Huntington Beach is the official "Surf City", but don't talk about that in Santa Cruz. There was a long and nasty battle over which town could lay that claim to fame. HB won, but Santa Cruz wasn't happy about it!! And oh yeah, Santa Cruz is another of my MOST favorite places, very different from HB, but that's why the world's such a great place!!

This is something else I wish I had tried when I was younger, but I have never lived by the sea and the only good surf I have heard of in the UK is down in Torquay, Its probably nothing like here, it looks fantastic! great capture!

The salty sea spray in the distance really adds to this capture.

Rosarita Beach has it's own reputation but not among American cities.

Make that Surf City done in Sepia! Quite unique, I'd say. Reminds me of the pictures taken of the Southern California beaches back in the early 1900s.

Very gorgeous! I prefer Santa Cruz myself, it's a little less "worn", I guess...Wonderful shot here, I love that golden glow!

Beautifully captured atmosphere Marilyn! To me it embodies eternal youth as portrayed in the California of the 60s!

Great shot from the pier of Surfer Joes doing their stuff "hanging five and walking the nose." Ooops better start doing Jan and Dean lyrics instead. Is it still "Two girls for every boy"?
