Description

This system started up shortly after we departed Venice. One moment is was warm and sunny, and within an hour it was cold, windy, and rainy. The waves were building, but the Adriatic is too small a body of water to allow any serious waves and the wind wasn't blowing long enough to give it a decent chance. The waves were big enough to sent an occassional shudder through the hull, but a ship this large, equipped with stabilizers, is not seriously affected by 10-ft. waves. The following morning it was all over, calm seas and sunny skies. This picture was taken on 4 July 2007. wundervoll dieses Foto! Diese gigantischen Wolken richtig in Szene gesetzt! Vor allem, weil der Vordergrund in den Proportionen stimmt! (Ich beobachte immer wieder, dass viele, die ähnliche Fotos vorstellen, das leider nicht beachten...)

Very cool shot of weather brewing up to get your attention. Far better to be in a huge cruise ship then in a small boat...used to have a 14' runabout and I know all too well. Bill
