Description

Mo is a miniature Australian Shepherd and is 10 months old. He is deaf and has been an absolute joy. When we first took him to the vet, the vet gave us a book on raising a puppy. The book said if the puppy does something wrong, respond in a firm voice and say "no". Obviously this would not work with Mo. We use sign language with him. He watches our hands and faces and responds wonderfully. He wears a bell so we know where he is, since he cannot hear us call him. He has fit in with the rest of our animals and us perfectly. Thank you for all your previous comments. Take care.

He's a gorgeous little boy!! I have a Japanese Chin who was born deaf, same story as yours, hand signals etc. A couple of my really old dogs have gone deaf but thats not as sad as the when the young ones are born that way!!

A beautiful capture of a very special dog. We've had dogs for years but have never experienced deafness in a yound dog. Glad he came to live with you. I am not surprised by him paying attention to hand signals...just never thought of it before! Bill
