a lot of artists think that photographing artwork is tricky. (I know painters who won't photograph their own work even with the best equipment.) But you seem wholly at home with it...you captured the solidity of this figure, but you also captured its ephemeral quality. You got a bright splash of light in front, and that wonderful other-worldly light behind, so that the figure seems to shine in the darkness. And—as the dynasty would've wanted—the figure's a little scary. Very sensitive work, and very sensitive to the silence that artworks carve around them...I don't know why it took me so long to find your gallery, but I haven't been on rosity that long and there are still many wonderful artists I haven't discovered yet...I love your gallery & I'll be back...
