Description

He wore black pants. He wore sandals. Arms and chest, naked to the night, caught the glow of fire in a glossy sheen of sweat. The waft of smoke carried itself like the half-substantial veil of feminine modesty. It was, however, an immodest night of music and flames, of dancing. Beer, a welcome companion at any joyous gathering, spun firelight into liquid gold, while men—two of them—threw wild and complex shapes into the night with passion and with flames. Those moments are gone now, but—of course—their memory remains. There will be other nights. Other dances among other people. And someone among them may wear black pants, sandals, and sweat as he draws shapes from the passion of wild flames. *** As always, thank you for viewing, reading, and commenting.
