Description

"Though the Siborlan rebels on Tyrlagohn had managed to hold the Imperial troops at bay for almost three months, it was pretty obvious to everyone what the final outcome would be. Which made it even more interesting, that the CUI had suddenly agreed to send a negotiator. After they had as good as lost the fight for their world already, what was the price for their souls going to be... ?" I've been dragging this one around for a while, kept making changes and reversing them again, so I finally decided that I had procrastinated enough:) Model design in 3D Studio, textures and render in Bryce with D/S bridge, no further postwork besides the logo. I just used one of the cloud atmospherics from Bryce Decie, applied to a flattened box and changed the diffusion and ambience to a greenish tint, to match the light source coming from the foreground :) I was a bit surprised myself that it made such a nice ground fog.

The atmospherics in the foreground are impressive but my favorite element to this would be the reflection at the top of the ship. It's a small feature but illustrates the scene is actually larger than what we see presented. A great detail that far too often goes unnoticed. Bravo!
