Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

I can't really get a sense of just how far down it is to the water, but I can imagine it's more than 10 feet. Idea for you, ask some unspecting tourist to jump in so you can show us how tiny they are bobbing around for their life in the water...LOL

Yo,u need some fixtures to attach to the railing to give a nice rigid perch. I have seen a whole truck full of them in Arapahoe clounty, colorado during the filming of "Blue Clay". then just a couple of days ago goodoleboy had some at Palos Verdes that were the same plated pipes that make no sense at all.

This whole HB ocean series is awesome! This one is just exquisite!

This is astounding...the colors are absolutely fantastic, but what really gets me, in terms of the color, is the lighter color of the water. It's astounding. I like your POV as well...the pilings are great! In short, this image rocks in quite a number of ways.
MrsLubner
You should have gone ahead and taking the tumble over the rail just to show them they aren't so smart with their fancy building and good intentions! LOL

Reddish golden amber color well represented in this beautifully lit and textured heroic capture, Marilyn, but where are your feet and toes, which are usually the hallmark of your accomplishment?
