Description

This is the fouth image of commercial fishing boats from my trip to Montauk, New York in September. They are not numbered but appear in my gallery between October 6th and today. The commercial fishing boat tied up to the dock in this image is the "Kahuna". A name that is very familiar to Sharky_ (Errol) out in Hawaii. A little look in an online dictionary provides these definitions: Hawaiian medicine man, Hawaiian priest; (Slang) big shot, bigwig Hope you enjoy yet another boat :-) Looks best in full-size view. Your comments are welcome. Bill

Very nice photo...I like the angle it was taken from...peering down a long wooden dock...just adds to the scene. :-)

Interesting to see the name Kahuna used on the east coast. I always grew up with the thought of Kahuna being a priest with gifted powers, some were good and some were bad. It is a popular name especially after the movie Gidget. Hope these fisherman have good luck with their catches (experts of a profession). I too always like looking at boats. Excellent shot. Aloha
