I could maybe add one fact that ties it to modern Edelbrock under Vic Jr. It had a spreadbore Holley. I can remember reading about double-pumpers and 800cfm NASCAR Holleys and going out and looking at the one on my 66. It was a spreadbore just like the Carter D series and the Q-Jet. So perk up. Maybe a Tarantula or a Tunnel Ram will fit. The 10.25:1 with semi-hemi is sensitive to octane. 6000 rpm comes easy and is a hard limit with the non-pumpup prevention hydraulics. Anything from 1968 is the awakening.
