Hi, I'm Marilyn.  I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile.  It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here.  I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends.  Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time.  Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!!  Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet.  You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long.  Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Oh I'm with you....I want to know where it leads...it's a beautiful shot, one that just seems to call out!

Beautiful lighting and colors!

Getting past the great composition, I like that you left the coloring almost totally natural and didn't over saturate. Probably the best shot considering your composition and more natural color. I am a fan of only slightly adding saturation so this is just my own opinion because lots of people seem to like adding color and noise to create drama.

Gorgeous! The light is awesome. That pov makes it look like you could walk down, through a door, and ... out somewhere ... somewhere? Wonderful capture.

Awesome, I love the progression of the pilings into the distance...

Try it and you'll find a different standard ths day. Be prepared to lose your footing and begin to dive under the waves being careful of the pilings. What looks like simple geometric framing for a aisle is much more.

Fantastic lighting on this, Marilyn. It seems like a 'light at the end of the tunnel' effect.

Beautiful image. The way the light hits the poles makes it look like it's made of gold. It's makes a path out of the water. Maybe it leads to the hall of mermaids? kudos.
