Description
This is one of the dancers from a traditional new years celebration at the real Tea House of the August Moon. The history that I was told involved a samurai from Japan stationed in Okinawa in fuedal times. Allowed by custom to have an Okinawan wife as well as one at home he became so smitten with her that when it was time to leave he told her she could open a tea house in his name(a great honor). I was told by a local that the real name was Sama but I have been unable to validate the name.
