Description

I captured this image with the last full moon a week or so ago. Because of the dense trees and shrubs in my garden, I had to take this image over the wall between me and my neighbour. I was on tip toes to reach over the wall and the camera was hand held. I know the focus and clarity is not what it should, but I kind of like the spooky feel to it. Seeing that this week is Halloween, I thought this would be a good start!!! Thank you for clicking in and for your valueable comments on this image as well as my previous upload. This is an excellent piece of visual art...it's quite moody, and the tree itself does lend a sense of menace, rather like the kind of pervasive, creeping spookiness of something along the lines of the Blair Witch Project or something like a nightmare in which everything seems perfectly normal and utterly wrong. I love it when a piece of writing, photography, or digital art can convey that and invite all sorts of dark introspections. This is a fantastic piece of work, and the hazy moon just adds to the effect.

Oops, I almost missed this neat shot. Not only do I like it for its' artistic value but you've reminded me to go to the store to buy some candy treats for the kids that will come to the door on Halloween evening :-) Bill
