This bio thing is way overdue for an update! Paul Guthrie here, born and raised in San Angelo, Texas, educated at the University of Texas, lived and worked at the Texas Medical Center in Houston for 22 years, moved to Massatoosetts in 1990 to work at Children's Hospital Boston. A Texan in exile, but watching the Tower turn burnt orange after beating A&M is as close as the Internet. Warmest and best wishes to all my colleagues on Renderosity; my few poor attempts at art made with Macintosh all the way; working in Poser, Vue, and Photoshop.

Happy Birthday Kenneth, this is a fine tribute for him. I am sorry for your loss and it is sad people can survive wars and be taken by smoking. My Grandfather died about the same age also and for the same reason.

What a good lookin' dude he was. It is a shame of how he went and sorry for your loss, Paul - it is hard losing someone quite young. And yes - happy birthday, Ken!

Thanks, dear friends; you probably can't see it, but the picture's inscribed "Love to you both..." meaning our parents; he didn't know he had a little brother. Quite a surprise!!

Great tribute to your older brother...bet you thought about him on November 11th too. Now, I've met your dad and brother...cool. I have it in mind to add something about my dad using your technique...he played lots of musical instruments...I have him in a tux holding a trumpet standing in front of Glen Miller's band...absolute photo manipulation but would be fun to upload. A handsome sailor man and a fine tribute. I doubt if being at the A bomb test helped his health either. I met a sailor who was at one of the tests and he said he could see the bones in his hands (covering his eyes) in the flash.

Wonderful way to remember him with this beautiful portrait,a splendid tribute to your brother.

I love historical pictures of individual people and this is one of the reasons why. The writer in me wants to read his face and probe into the stories that his expression tells. Great image and a fantastic post/tribute.
