Description
A shot from our trip to NYC. We didn't actually go out to Ellis Island or the statue - you have to get there waaaay too early in the morning to get those tickets and since we were only there 2 days we also didn't want to use up a good chunk of time doing that, so we took this from the Staten Island Ferry.
Unfortunately I let Dana talk me into leaving my camera at her Uncle's house that day since we were going to a show that night and while it did somewhat make sense I now sort of regret it too since it has a way better zoom. But next time we're there I can get a better shot. :D

Always nice to see your vacation photos, as they are of places I haven't been to yet- and very candid views that give a good sense of the environment. Although your personal camera might have gotten a better view, this is still really good in my opinion- It gives a great 'lay of the land' and sense of scale while showing everything around the statue of liberty.

Ah! There she is, the lady of promises! A collegue of my father's who retired last month took a trip with Queen MaryII to celebrate the evnt and he told us how impressive it is to come in sight of the statue when you have been on the ocean for 5 days or so. I can imagine and one day...
