Description

This was taken at Noirmont Point (the tower featured in one of my photo's last week). This small bay is just around the corner from the tower and when the tide comes in the swell becomes quite intense. I am so lucky living here in Jersey, we have some superb scenery and landscapes, such diversity around the Island. Rock formations are so interesting. Views of the same places are just so different when the tide is in/out - often looking like like they are not of the same scene. Full view shows the different pinks in the rocks and the vraic (seaweed) in the swell. Thank you all so much for your lovely comments on my post yesterday of Greve De Lecq. This is wonderful. I fish in a place just like this near my son's house and the swell can be scary. I stand on cliffs much like this and lower my very heavy weight into the water hoping it goes past the bunches of seagrasses that float with the surge. Sometimes the power of the water going in and out makes me wonder what would happen if the line tangled in debris -- If I didn't let my rod go, I'd be pulled off the cliff and into the water below! Love this shot.
