Ah but the sun is lower on the horizon now, it comes later in the morning, and hurries off earlier in the evening. At midday it leaves long shadows, yes, it may be warm yet, but winter is waiting just behind that tree ... waiting to blanket the earth while she slumbers A marvelous image, with a meloncholy feel lurking in the shadows. It is very cold and windy here tonight, and snow is expected overnight in some parts of our area.
