Description
509 hrs 15 mins and 58 secs to render this. 42 saves and this is just the first frame of a 30 second animation. Ok, it's not an animation, but I really wanted to see how this would turn out without giving up.

Wow! this is really stunning. I'm very surprised at the render time though. Sure you don't want to change your mind and render all the animation shots? ;)

Aww, man!!! This is just INCREDIBLE! What a wow factor, especially considering how loooong it took to render. This is beautifully composed, like a photo you would see in National Geographic or something. Fabulous artwork, my friend!

For a single computer not bad but I believe there are some ways to reduce your time. BUT, sometimes things are worth the wait - I have friends at a local 3d studio and using a render farm of 30+ computers, some FRAMES of an animation still take 12-15 hours PER FRAME to render (this is using dual quad core processors times 30 computers (240 cores). So I think you did ok. The result is phenomemal - I think it was worth it...... We dont like to be patient do we - that is a 3d artists greatest asset (at least at render time)............Thank you for sharing this one. B
