it's sad they had to end up in a museum it makes us feel sad.. as this culture.. and those of Australia did not change in 10.000 of years and would have lasted forever if we had not destroyed them only to end up in Musea.. great image sad moment

The Native Americans have not vanished completely as Efron implies. Their way of life has been severely compromised by persecution by European settlers and many other factors like theft of their land, environmental destruction and forced assimilation into a western way of thinking and living that they never wanted or needed ! Their 10,000 year history and the incredible 40,000 year history of the aboriginal Australians is one that was based on living in harmony with the earth and all living things. Their philosophies and wisdom, connection to the earth, vast knowledge of plants and animals and how to survive in the wilderness and the natural systems of the earth is something that a delinquent, greedy western society could not hope to ever practically acheive as we continue unabated to plunder, destroy, burn, multiply uncontrollably and make waste to the very home (Earth) that we cannot survive without, and in so doing sew the seeds of our own destruction.. To them this is insanity, madness ! And so it should be to us !!! There are many books that have been written by Native Americans on these very issues and more. look on Amazon. Great photo, but as has been said, sad that it is in a museum.

Good lord. It's a beautiful exhibit! Nobody is running around wearing things that were made a hundred years ago, no matter who their ancestors were. A museum is a fantastic place for these gorgeous objects. They are being conserved and treated with respect.

My employer is an Indian Nation (Tribe) and the fourth floor of that museum is named for them as they contributed a significant amount of money to this project http://www.oneidaindiannation.com/about/30803909.html
