Description
I was going thru my fotos and came upon this. I took it last year when I was in Mexico, on one of the innumerable bus rides I was on. It's as typical as they get, except for the fact that it's almost empty. Usually they're full of people, and these people are full of life. You can be serenaded, lectured, asked to buy all sorts of things, assaulted by the smell of someone's fish, even asked to hold a baby. Every bus ride is an adventure. I've learned two things~~~1--try to get on a fairly empty bus and 2--go to the back if you want half a chance of getting off at the right place!!

A great shot Marilyn, you have painted a wonderful picture in my head of real life Mexico! Unfortunately because of medication I take , I'm unable to drive now so I travel on packed out buses a lot. not the best of fun!

Marvellous! I travel on the bus to town rather than drive as I have a BUS PASS! One of the advantages of being a granny! I'm often tempted to take a pic but haven't been brave enough.... sitting at the back is the answer, but ours only have doors at the front!

WOW! This is a wonderfully exotic taste of life! It evokes so much and I can virtually smell the things you describe...and a few things not described either. I like the perspective, and the title of the picture threw me back to my high school days, where the "cool kids" always sat at the back of the bus. I was always one of the ones in the middle, my nose tucked into a book, or the Eurythmics (When they were a new group) in my headphones...on cassette...ah, those were the days, and strangely, your image brought so much of that back.
