To all of my mother's Renderosity friends:
It saddens me to no end to tell you that my mother, Mina, passed on May 31st, from endometrial cancer. She is survived by my father, Roger, and myself. I apologize for not letting you all know sooner, but her passing has left me with a broken heart and it is very hard to write this, even now. I don't suppose there will ever come a time that it will be easier.
I know how much she loved you all, how much it meant to her to have met such wonderful people, and how much it meant to her to create & share her art with you. I am leaving her work here for a while, as tribute to her, her beauty, her talent & her love.

Ethereal, this is the word that I associate with this image. That quality, together with the solidity of that familiar orb above, might make one question what dream we are in. There is a beautiful quality about this - a flowing into the stars. The contemplative nature of the figure adds a questioning quality to it, as if one were imagining onself in a dream. I also enjoyed the contrasting of the blues and the greens. I liked looking at it, so I liked talking about it. Excellent.
