You would be surprised at the number of appartments in Paris looking like this... Because their owners couldn't care less about the conditions people renting the place are submitted to...
You don't even have to be poor to live in such places, because Great Holy Market decided prices don't have to be fixed, same old story...

impossible where i am.. exept for some restaurants which makes it even worse... and student houses.. ha ha but in that case the students do it

Quite a telling image! There are far too many places like this around the globe...though they do make for interesting photography, there's no excuse for humans to actually live in those conditions. All of that aside though, this is a gorgeous image! Touching on so many different levels.
