Description
A visual stimulus must have certain minimal characteristics for to cause a biological reaction of the photoreceivers or a feeling conscious of light. If not, a subject does not see anything, even if there is indeed signal and one says of this last that it is subliminal, i.e. in on this side threshold of the feeling. But what is this thus that the threshold? Let us distinguish initially the bio-physiological threshold from the psychological threshold. The bio-physiological threshold is the point in on this side which bio-physiological system will react in less than 50% of the cases; the psychological threshold is the point in on this side which a stimulus will be perceived in less than 50% of the cases. One only photon can start a stick; the bio-physiological threshold of the vision is thus of more or less a photon. But that does not want to say that there will have been feeling of light at a subject; to arrive there, it will be necessary that ten sticks at least react and then only, the subject will have seen light. The psychological threshold is thus of ten photons.

Very beautiful abstract composition, Claude!!!

a great abstract that has a sense of the eye in its shape. Yes, images affect us on both levels. We have to see to be able to enjoy,(or dislike) and to interpret what we are able to see. I like this. Lea
