Description

Part of the enclosed area in Huntington Beach that protects the nests of the Least California Tern, a small shorebird. This is also right next to the Santa Ana River where it empties into the ocean. One of the few spots where it hasn't been concreted, contained, controlled and captured. Someday the river will show people who she really is!!

I think, such a simple fence won´t harm any birds. Hmm, Penguins maybe. Great shot.

Oooh, I love this! The color treatment you rendered is superb. It's very otherworldly, but outside of that, it highlights the solitude of the beach...even with the enclosure, there's the impression that humans just aren't in the picture...at all! I like that feeling, not for the lack of humans, but for the sense of uncluttered quiet! Fantastic work!
