Description
Fog can be a bitch sometimes - especially if you like a lot of contrast in your photography like I do. Fog can paint an eerie, mysterious scene, but as designed by nature fog decreases the contrast level.
Of course in post work you always have the contrast option, but with me, my post work goal is to recreate what I originally saw, although my camera may have only partially achieved.
Crank up the contrast enough and in partially obscured areas you can get rid of the fog altogether! That may make the ridge more vibrant but that's not what was observed in the first place. But then again too little contrast makes a sleeper of a photograph.
Sheesh!!
So after a bit of a quandary I decided this is what made me raise my camera in the first place.
This is my 5th post from a visit last week to the Great Smoky Mountains. The 4th picture was Colors of Autumn.
Thanks for stopping by!

The way the fog encircles the hill is quite spectacular. I like what you saw, and I like how you presented it!
