Description

This is from a few months ago. It's part of The Avenue Of Giants**, the old road that goes thru some of the most amazing old growth redwood forests. This looks to the south, though it doesn't show the really big trees. Here's a link to another shot I took that day. the big tree and me ** Avenue of the Giants

Look out! There's a logging truck right behind you. Only kidding, but those big trucks out your way are kind of scary, particularly on a narrow, two lane road. This is a neat capture...green and sunny with an excellent POV. And I like the fact that you linked us back to a good picture of you, your dog buddy and a "baby" giant redwood tree. Bill

I Love roads like this where the trees are so large and old that they drap a canopy over the road with little spots of sunlight shining through!!!

This just screams Americana to me, any minute now I expect a black trans am with the bandit at the helm, followed by the snowman and his truckload of coors, then followed by Buford T Justice..LOL, Great capture Marilyn, good perspective here!

The road to nowhere. Love perspective shots like this. Stark contrasting light/dark effects in this fine capture, Marilyn!

Beautiful country, I went and looked at the other sites, those trees are huge. I've never seen one except in pictures. When I was in california I had hoped I would make it to see them but I didn't...thank you for sharing.
