Description

First of all I wanted to thank everyone for your nice comments! Now about the picture: I took this shot two years ago in one of the Chicago suburbs' sculpture parks, I think it was Algonquin, IL, but I could be wrong. So there was this sculpture - huge half-buried female figure, made of concrete or something like that. I don't think I ever learned the name of the author of this piece of public art. So if you happen to know it, please let me know and I will be happy to credit him or her. It's definitely a thought-provoking thing. ...Alright I just found out: this is The Chicago Athenaeum's International Sculpture Park in Schaumburg, Illinois. But I can't guarantee that this sculpture is still there. E-e-e Ho-o-o! Finally I found the info about this sculpture. The title is "Awaking Muse". The idea is to sit in her hand and she will whisper inspiration to you. The berms represent hidden potential within us all. Sculpture Artists: Meg White and Don Lawler It's located at Schaumburg, IL International Sculpture Park. You can see more images here: http://www.pbase.com/rob_drebel/ssp
