Description

Evening, hope you all had a good weekend! Well I guess soon autumn will be drawing to a close, and I'm painfully aware of the fact I haven't made it out to try and capture any of it yet.. I've just been too busy with studies, doing prints, editing other pics and generally living life to get round to it.. plus it doesn't help much that it's dark by 4pm now =| So on a headclearing walk with some friends after a suitably raucous halloween I decided to bring a little bit of autumn inside and make a little arrangment later on from the comfort of beside a fire =) The shot I've put under photo manip, though only really the colour of the upper leaf, and of the table in the background, have been changed. The left hand leaf was more greeny-yellow, but the other one remains pretty much as it was. For the technical stuff see brackets.. (Lit by 5 tea-light candles just out of frame, and painted each leaf briefly with a torch over a few-second exposure period (room otherwise was pitch black). Manual exposure, took about 40-50 shots (of which I liked this one the best) with various light-painting methods, camera tripod-mounted on kitchen table). Hope you like it and have a great evening! Adam P.S. .. and a big thank you to the staff for gom!

A wonderful work of art Adam. I just love what you did... With all the effort going into this, I was wondering if it wouldn't have been easier to just go outside and snap a few autumn leaves... lol... :)

The concept is not new but the way you've illustrated it is original and superbly presented. Excellent work, Adam!
