Les Quatre Cavaliers de l'Apocalypse sont mentionnés dans la Bible, dans le sixième chapitre du Livre d'Apocalypse, qui prédit qu'ils chevaucheront pendant la fin du monde.
Les quatre cavaliers sont traditionnellement nommés Guerre, Famine, Pestilence, et Mort. L’apocalypse n’en nomme pourtant qu'un seul : Mort.
Il n'est donc pas aisé de déterminer la signification symbolique des cavaliers; les interprétations reflètent souvent les craintes contemporaines.
Four Riders of the Apocalypse are mentioned in the Bible, in the sixth chapter of the Book of Apocalypse, which predicts that they will overlap during the end of the world.
The four riders are traditionally named War, Famine, Stench, and Died.
The apocalypse however does not name only one of it: Died. It is'nt thus not easy to determine the significance symbolic system of the riders; interpretations often reflect contemporary fears.
