OK, Emil...I've been there and done that as the saying goes. The grass would be blown flat down directly under the roter wash...might not 'tmuch dust, lots of rain even if the rice paddies weren't flooded. They used a primative but effective irrigation system to flood and drain the rice paddies during the growing cycle. The UH-1 and the troops look good. Thought for the future...AH-1 Cobra gunships often provided suppressive fires on possible, nearby enemy positions while the friendly troops were being inserted. This usually would have been fire against a nearby woodline or thatch hut village. [civilians always seemed to know when something was about to happen and would disappear] Good show here. Bill

Thanks for the comments and advice everyone, it's always taken onboard. I wanted to add more to the scene, more troops and maybe something in the background but Vue kept chucking a hissy fit. Also tried 'blowing' the grass sideways in PS but it didn't look right but i'll work on that. Thanks again everyone :)

Ah! The long awaited 'Chopper' picture! And a work of art it is, mate. Really top job. Few adjustments, you know what to do. I take pics, not renders! Straight to Fav! Rob.

Not bad. Not bad at all. You can only put so many troops in a Huey. From this angle the one Huey looks good. The troops look like they're going for a camp out. :)

Super job Emil. Not many folks would tackle this particular subject. There are a few tricks in PS which would help if you do another. Nice to see you put the shadow in the right place, would have looked wrong anywhere else. Like somebody said, propwash is needed. Don't pack in on this one, experiment a bit. There are various programs which include vegetation which can be made to lie over sideways, I'm sure. ( They call it 'wind effect'). Regards and thanks for your comments on my stuff. Warren.

Boy, does that take me back! I agree about the lack of rotor wash, but I like the rotor blur; too many times people put the lower part of the swashplate in motion. Not enough bugs on the nose and wind screen. No door-gunner?

What you have is great. Cornucopia3d has a product that reproduces crop circles. It wasn't too expenseive either. Perhaps it could be used to help replicate a sense of prop wash. Sorry Vue wouldn't cooperate with your vision. Know how that goes!
