Description

Perhaps every Russian big city, like Rostov-na-Donu, still has a monument to V. Lenin and Gorky Park. Located right at the center of the downtown area, small and cosy, it's a wonderful place to wander around, especially this season. Captured this afternoon. I agree...this is absolutely perfect. The compositional lines are quite strong, but also subtle. I love the play of light and texture! Fantastic work, and I hope to see this place with my own eyes soon!

This is beautiful. I particularily like the stairs, the way the stones for it are worn. I love this time of year best. I love when the "bones" of the trees are revealed, a distinct beauty in itself.

I have much to catch up on, nikolay, and I will (am getting over infections)...but this is a simple, expressive & marvelous capture of two prominent trees, surrounded by all kinds of visual music—the lovely lighter-hued trees, the beautiful near-white leaves, and the rustic steps and bricks. It's a tiered piece of music, simple yet very full, and I'd have thought it was by you even if I didn't know it was yours. And, as always, your understanding of black/white & gray is superb, finding the whole world in those 3 hues, where nothing else is necessary. A lovely & loving shot, through & through; makes me want to be there...
