Lonely eyes
Looking through the window
Watching a bird
Nest in the shrubs
Trying to stay warm
Listening to other people talk
Trying not to get caught
Its Chinese food for lunch again
Its warm and friendly inside
And even though it cost the same
It doesn't feel like fast food to me
In my mind
Eating fast food alone seems sad
But eating Chinese food alone
Is still fancy dining
Smiling with a twinkle in her eye
The waitress takes a long time
To wait on me
Because she knows
I have no where else to go
