Description

Replica of the Statue of Liberty, surrounded by scaffolding, on the roof of a condemned building in Leicester, England. My boss took the photo a few weeks ago. The building's been demolished since. Whether they saved the statue or not, I don't know. On this one the Synapse process has introduced a resemblance of stained glass. Photo by Chappers Treatment by Synapse

Got to be my favourite in the series so far, the effect of the colours is beautiful & I love the contrast against those hard lines.

This is a fascinating series. You have taken a building and it's surroundings and made it look like it was made of plastic. It has an amazingly artificial and even childish quality. Some of your elaborations add a futuristic touch, reminiscent of the spaceships in Star Wars. Your work with the trees is interesting, putting together a sort of artificial life like that of "the modern prometheus"(frankenstein). In this work, you have given a personality to the statue of liberty, it allmost looks as if it is screaming; waiting for it's inevitable demolition.
