Description

Morning all :o) I feel very satisfied with this image as it has so many different feels to it .This was also taken from the top of the bus only this time it was`nt moving ,we were stuck in traffic :o)..To the right was Trafalgar Square with allsorts of work going on .It looked quite a mess so I cropped the bits that I`d captured out .In case your wondering ,this has had a little treatment as an HDR . I got caught in the tourist trap aswell ,spending vast amounts of money looking at the sights I`ve seen so many times before and Ronnie is so right about all the things wrong with London outside of the main areas .Whilst I was born in the Eastend of London and have family here ,it holds no fascination for me anymore .For me ,the opinions of Ronnie hold true ,apart from the photo opportunities that is lol :o) Thanks for looking and take care . Mick

Great shot here, Mick--all kinds of interesting things going on. I know what you mean about big cities, they show off their good sides, but you sure have to be careful!!

A beautiful picture, with my favourite destination, the National Portrait Gallery, just out of sight round the corner!

LOL... This is freaky... I have the identical shot which I also took from the top of a tourist bus a couple of years ago.... Mine just have some pigeons making a nuisance of themselves too. I love the little HDR treatment Mick. Stellar image! :)

Trap or not it is still such a stunning sight Mick. I must confess to being drawn in to such traps in various countries I visit, but I always enjoy the chance to take in a bit of history and don't mind the crowds.

I think you have taken an alright photo and turned it into art Mick, you have done a cracking job with the HDR. I used to deliver round London quite a bit in the late 60's early 70's, but have never visited as a tourist. Just never felt the urge to visit big Cities anywhere really, apart from Edinburgh, I enjoyed visiting there, even though they did try to tow my car away. Superb work mate. Bravo!!!!!

Great capture Mick. With no vehicle in the picture it looks like a historical shot. And the weather was nice too!!!
