Description

(I guess this character has become familiar to all of you.) A Cinema 4D render and postwork. Note: I´d like to clarify that the droplet image is not mine. It´s an Image After texture, a freebie, I downloaded some time ago. Besides, there are, at least, 3 different tears/layers that were superimposed by using different blending tools. Hair and "dress" illusion were created with "grunge" brushes.

very skilled blurring! you create just the right sense of depth and layering. i love the dark cloud cloaking her. i have to say, when V4 has the sort of facial features and general appearance in my work that she does in yours, i just feel frustrated. if i can't make her more realistic than default, it just rarely works for me. but you've always had this way of making your figures look very easily identifiable, with lighting that's fairly CG (and not photographic), and having it work incredibly well, even when blended with photos. i hope, like me, visitors to your gallery gain appreciation for how paramount individuality and personal vision are to any type of art work. most CG suffers from the creator working too hard at technical accuracy while losing complexity, originality and soul. this image is a perfect example of how even a simple Vicky portrait can have great power, and how you don't need photorealism with flashy materials to achieve them. as someone who does work towards a certain amount of realism, your work helps me remain focused on why i want it.
