Description
A shot of some sand at surf's edge on the Gulf of Mexico. It's not that large of an area really. . . . look close and you can see the individual grains of sand.
The horizontal lines in the sand remind me of the exposed layers of rock so prominent in the Grand Canyon. But rather than centuries of slowly deposited sediment they are instead surf lines from the last few days.
The darker lines were perhaps from a high tide during a storm when the water was stirred up. Or it could be bunches of microscopic bits of seaweed that came in with the tide. The other cleaner areas were just a normal high tide.
Of course, the next tide could wash it all away, and then the process begins anew. Constant change.

This is the very reason I'm so drawn to the ocean; the constant change and beauty!!
