I don't usually get on a soapbox, but I have to tell you how thrilled I am over our new President here in the US~~ And that's all I'm going to say, cuz I still have friends and relatives who are Republicans!!

Oh Marilyn, what a wonderful image to celebrate the dawning of hopefully a brand new era! I am not shy to say that Barack Obama was my (and the rest of the world it seems) firm favourite and as I watched his victory speech this morning (which made me late for work) I felt very emotional. Like he said in his speech - this is the chance to make a change... Congrats to the US on your new president! :)

Well, I'M NOT THRILLED AT ALL, and I'm not even a Republican. In fact, I didn't vote for either one. Incidentally, Barack is only half black, something that is usually omitted in all the hoopla. We need a viable third party. Lots of yellow in that upper buttermilk sky, with the ominous dark clouds below a possible indication of what lies ahead for us.
