I regret that I didn't discover dirk until the memorials to his untimely passing: I will now be visiting his gallery and seeing his work...You've made such a simple, eloquent vision of his passing, it's intimate and gentle and speaks to us one-on-one. Your upper lines simply 'stop', but it doesn't feel as if 'they' stop but as if we stop because where they go we can only intimate—so fitting for our vision of who has passed. I'm sorry for your loss and for everyone else who lost this beloved artist; but your dedication is quite beautiful & touching; and a silhouette of love as well.

OMG, I did not know....I am so sad to hear this. i was going to write to him today. have been away the whole weekend and this has slipped me. he was such a kind and loving person. I will miss him! Lovely symbolic image in remembrance of him.
