Description

This is my last attempt at this concept. Hopefully it's my best, because I was not nearly satisfied with the previous two. It's not perfect - somehow, that planet just doesn't suit my expectations. I appreciate both your patience to endure one more and all the comments, mostly the critical ones - they mean a lot more to me than praise. Thanks fo looking in!

Regarding the subject planet's terrain this is your best; all uploads in this series have been excellent. I'd like to criticise this latest one, but your not making it easy for me, so I won't. ........ So there!

This image speaks to me... You can decrease contrast and light on the Bryce layer with Photoshop, and adjust it until it gets more realistic: 3D objects naturally have this tendancy to huge levels of contrast, and I think you could adjust it and be satisfied with the result :)

The planet may not be all that but the terrain and it's surface is awesome.

Nice world; I'll put it on my vacation itinerary for next summer :-) Love the angles and composition.

Well, the point with the planet is, that it has this sharp edge imho. Try to add a bit outer glow to the planet. Maybe this will look better...agree with elisheba about the contrast. BTW, your best starfield so far :)

Rich...all of these images are special...but, I still prefer the first. Every time I do an image I always strive to make it better and push it past the peak...and wish I could have a "back" button on Terragen because some of the earlier versions of the the image I'm working on were better....its so hard to know when to stop tweaking...sometimes its a gut feeling and sometimes its luck. I think you pegged out on the first one...but, thats just me....:)

The brilliant sky and the stark contrast of the desiccated terrain are as good as it gets!!!
