This is the last of the Fungi Paintings. I havent painted others. I might do it again, because it was really great fun. This one I dedicate to, Dennis Reed,

Here we have a really lousy weather with lotsa rain and cold weather. :) But in here it is nice and cosy. I wish everybody had such a nice home as mine.

Exquisite image! Perhaps you could have done a somewhat lighter sky, this would have detached the subject slightly more. Perhaps you can do this "postwork" in Photoshop afterwards, because of course in watercolor you cannot lighten something which has already been painted (oh, normally, because I have seen a professional colorist doing that with Javel water…I was afraid when I saw that, but it worked, of course he cleaned the paper carefully after that, and he used only a very diluted solution)… I am very happy that you undertook this series and I hope that you will continue!

yes you are gifted, these mushrooms would make a perfect illustration in a book! so what? helle is drawing, painting, makes some photos now and then, everything is beautiful and shows your talent so very well. but these mushrooms are, besides that mill drawing of yours, my favourites, love them!
