Description
The seasons continuously change and so do we. With each new experience, we add new knowledge to our lives and are always the better for it. I know... sometimes we just don't like that certain something that is happening to us. But in the end, if we look at our experience as an objective observer of our life, we are the better for having had that experience and we will be stronger because of it. Don't ever believe that bad things will stay forever. Because they don't. I know they don't and I believe it with all of my heart. There is always a positive side to everything. Your car just broke down. Yes, you may have to spend some money. But this is an opportunity for you to buy a new car. Can you see what I mean? Always look at the glass as being half full and not half empty. So be happy, don't worry. Life is grand and it is glorious. And the best thing about all of this it is that you can make your life anything you wish it to be because each day is a new opportunity for you to create something wonderful in your life. One of the best ways for us to start is by treating other people as we would like them to treat us. It does work. That old grump you've been working on will seem to have changed. Interestingly enough, it isn't the grump that has changed. It is you that has changed. You have changed how you perceive this person to be. When your attitude changes... so does your life. It is a metaphysical fact. We cannot change our surroundings nor can we change our friends. We can only change ourselves. And change always starts its work from the inside out. So let it out... let all the joy and happiness that you have been storing up just burst out. You just might find that you are busting out with joy and happiness. How divine. How simply divine.
Our thought for the day is: 'Gentle is the mind that loves the world and that gentleness can move mountains.' Just think about it... doesn't water flowing gently over rocks and then eventually it wears them down? Gayle O

Firstly, Gayle, got to agree with you, the glass IS half-full. We all need to look on the bright side of life. Speaking of which, the brightness and hope of your image makes me so want to travel down that road I see, "exit stage left", into those gently rolling hills.

My dear...we can change our surroundings like a trip to someplace new and beautiful and we can always try and sometimes succeed in changing our friends..AA for example. Is it an insult to always have known the President of the company only as an occult figure who would rise to the top after you left? Especially, if you have met the chariman in the elevator strictly by chance on a rainy day and rivetted that fact. "Gentle on my mind" was the Glenn Campbell song.

The cup is half full because I drank half of what I had, and it was sweet. And now I fear to drink more because I fear there will be no more when this is gone. So, in fear, I have but do not drink that which is sweet for fear I will lose what I have - and do not see I have already lost it, by my refusing to partake.
