Description

The source for this image was a photo from a car show earlier in the summer of 2008... Using PSPP X2 I removed the background clutter (freehand slection tool - point to point) and replaced it with a photo I took of a nearby lake scene.... The auto was originally black but using an overlay layer I painted it blue..... Some of the leaves were created using the green leaf tube, I changed the color using the hue adjustment and painting over in an overlay layer. A few were hand drawn using the Art Media oil brush.... A liberal use of Art Media's chalk on the background and on the auto to create texture and the illusion it is hand painted.... The rust and grime on the car was created using free textures I fond on the net and using various layers and blending modes.... Cheers Ken

Now that I have built my Hall-Scott truck six I can appreciate this car more including my great uncle's straight eight. It was actually my uncle the LCVP driver in the Pacific that had the memories. The way even black turned blue was a feature of this era as the paint aged. No bad perforations or scabbies here with exfoliation and spalling. A bit close to the creek if the bank is undermined even a bit.
