Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Black lies, white lies and statistics. Accident statistics. Copays and no fault. The crystal ball swishes and then the image is gone.

Love your narrative. I think we all have that perception of the pieces at times.

This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes: "Here is a test to find whether your mission on earth is finished: If you're alive, it isn't." -- Richard Bach Sometimes those puzzle pieces can be tricky, but if it's in the pile, it fits somewhere ... even if it's in the part labeled "Well, THAT didn't work!"

Life is like a pie, you slice it up into eight piece's and eat one, try as you might to get it back together it aint going to go, so you eat it all and start over again. Bake another pie, well thats what I keep doing. It aint a pie thats oin the oven right now though, I have just put the Christmas Cake in and the aroma thats wafting through the house is devine. I soaked the fruit in rum and orange juice for a week just to plump it out a bit, I drank what juice hadn't soaked in. Excellent bit of writing Marylin, I know where you're coming from. Superb work. Bravo!!!!!

Very well executed on your part. 5+.

When Winston Churchill said, "It is a riddle, wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma..." he was speaking of Russia. I prefer to think this phrase can be applied across the board. Good work.

Great stuff here, and it reflects SO MUCH of what everyone goes through at one point or another. I love the puzzle piece analogy as well, because the pieces don't always fit where you expect them in life, but they always fit somewhere...and the fun part is having that pile of no-fit pieces, because in some way, that's what life is all about. The stuff that doesn't fit is always the stuff that's so interesting. This whole piece is well executed and engaging.

Vivid colors depicted in this stellar abstract approach to the neon city, Marilyn! As for your puzzle in re the caprices of life, I don't have anything to say at this juncture...especially after reading tallpindo's soliloquy.
